JOB TITLE: DevOps Engineer

SALARY: £78,849 - £87,610

LOCATION(S): London

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least

Two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this opportunity

The Identity & Authentication Platform delivers capabilities to enable LBG business areas secure client and digital authentication and identity across all their digital channels. The Platform delivers core products including Identity & Authentication as a Service, giving end-to-end packaged services of several components for self-serve consumption to give strategic capabilities of centralised and reusable authentication services, a suite of authentication methods (either 1 or multi-factor depending on regulation obligations) and a scaled, centralised and hosting agnostic Authorisation as a Service capability consisting of a Token Exchange component and the provision of a signed token for Channels to use downstream, allowing management of their access.

In this role, you’ll work with modern technologies, including microservices architectures, cloud-based infrastructure, and containerized environments.

You will play a key role in developing, testing, and optimizing back-end services that support seamless user experiences and integrate with various front-end and external systems. You’ll also collaborate closely with front-end engineers, product owners, and various stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet our high standards for performance, security, resilience, scalability and high availability.

What you’ll need

  • Hand on experience with infrastructure as code i.e Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible

  • A strong DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering background and knowledge of DevOps practices

  • Experience in building CI/CD pipelines to deliver changes incrementally in production

  • Experienced in day-to-day administration of Deploy and Release activities

  • Strong familiarity with source code repositories particularly Git

  • Experience of build tools E.g one of following. Maven/Gradle, Jenkins2/Circle CI, Nexus, Sonar

  • Experience of containers, orchestration and service mesh e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Istio
